A delegation of the President Muhammadu Buhari, led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Minister, has delivered $1m support fund to the Turkish government. The Sultan of Sokoto and the President General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has declared Wednesday, February 22, 2023 as the first day of Sha’aban 1444AH. Abubakar, made the declaration in a statement by Yahaya Boyi, Secretary MSC. The statement reads, "The Sultanate Council Sokoto has declared Wednesday 22/2/2023 as the first day of Sha'aban 1444 AH."
