Anyway, the gist in town right now is that Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) hall mosques have turned around. Or put mildly, an eldorado. It is a classical case of grass to grace. I doubt anyone who the mosque has housed at one time or the other would be able to recognize the old structure anymore now due to the supersonic upgrade and sophisticated outlook. Cast your mind back to June 4, 2017, exactly 4years, 1month, 12days ago, OAU campus saw a black Sunday during which the hall mosques were shutdown in a staccato fashion. People were caught off guard. Everyone was stunned. The atmosphere that day was toxic. The memory till today remain an open sore. The aftermath was brutal. But then, life goes on.
