The late Chief Imam of Ilobu Land in Osun State, Sheikh Mohammadu-l-Jamiu Bello will be buried today by 2pm.  In a statement by the family of the deceased, the late Imam will be buried at Ibigbami's compound, Oke Oja area in Ilobu.  Recall that the Imam died on Saturday evening after a brief illness. Sheikh Bello became Grand Imam of Ilobu in the year 2005 and his tenure has witnessed several transformations in the administration of the Mosque and the leadership of the Muslim community in the ancient town. He succeeded Imam Tohir Ojawuro, who died late 2004.

A student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife who craved anonymity has narrated how she was attacked by a thug for putting on hijab in Lagos state.  Narrating her experience with Dpath To Jannah Media Hub, she said: "My identity was attacked on the 26th of August, 2022. I was on the way to a training center at Allen avenue, Ikeja, Lagos. I took a bus from Oshodi and alighted at Along Bustop. If you are familiar with the place at that time you will know there was a bridge construction going on. So I had to drop along the railway. As I got down ignoring all the noises around me including the noise from a train, I jumped from the bus to cross the rail and the next thing I heard was people stopping me from crossing the rail. Though at that moment, I was not sure if I really wanted to cross the rail or if it was just a reaction to the stimulus of getting down from the bus.  The next thing was that people started attacking my HIJAB which is my identity.
