Sagamu Accident: SB Mourns Death Of Muslim Women

The Standard Bearers Islamic Organization, SB National Headquarters has mourned the death of six of the mothers of their members on Ijebu Ode-Ore Expressway.

The deceased were buried at the Muslim Burial Ground, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps Ogun Sector Command, the accident happened on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 around 3pm along Ijebu-Ode Expressway some metres after Odogbolu.

Seven persons died while others were injured in the accident involving a Mazda with registration number AGL886YD.

In a statement on Thursday by the National Coordinator of SB, Nurudeen Toyin AbdulRaheen commiserated with the families of the deceased, Al-Muminaat  (The believing  women) and the generality of Muslims.

He said, "We received with shock, the news of the motor-vehicle inferno and the resultant multiple deaths and injury of our dear mothers, sisters and our little siblings. We were jolted by the news and we're in a trance for considerable length of time before regaining our consciousness. 

"It is indeed a great test from Allah (SWT) and we can only imagine how the organization and the immediate families of the victims would receive the news.

"That said, we take consolation in the fact that their deaths exemplify (multiple layers of) martyrdom (On a journey, of inferno, on the path of dawah etc). We pray to Allah to accept them into the highest degree of paradise, give the immediate families, the organization and us all, the fortitude to bear the sudden void their demises have created. We equally pray for quick and complete recovery of the injured and make it a cleanser for their sins. "

My throne doesn't affected with Kingship case transfer to Osun - Salu of Edunabon

  The Salu of Edunabon, His Royal Majesty Kehinde Oladepo Adesoji, Akinrinsa 11, has reaffirmed that his throne doesn't affected with Kingship case transfer from Court of Appeal, Akure, to Osun. HRH Adesoji stated this in a phone conversation with Pressmen on Thursday. He said that there were three Kingsmaker in Edunabon Olosi, Monigbere and Olukotun, adding that Olosi was appointed in Sept 30,2015, Monigbere died in 2006 and was not replaced before former Salu, Oba Elijah Omoboye joined his ancestors.    Prof. Adebusuyi Adeniran, a Professor of Migration and Development Sociology, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has called for urgent need to rebrand Nigeria immigration service (NIS)for true structure and responsibilities.
