Former Ministers, Osun Monarchs, Islamic Scholars, OAU Lecturers, Others To Attend Alhaji Fatai Kolawole's Post Ramadan Programme On Sunday In Modakeke

The former permanent Secretary of Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the Asiwaju Adeen of Modakeke, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole has mapped out plans to organize Post Ramadan Programme with the theme 'Parenting in the 21st Century: Islamic Perspective '


In a statement on Friday by the organizing committee on behalf of the organiser which was signed by Dr. Wasiu Akinbode and Mallam Munirudeen Omowale, the chairman and secretary respectively of organizing committee said the programme will hold on Sunday at the expansive ultra modern Modakeke Civic Centre located at opposite Olorunsogo Trailer Park, Ondo road, Modakeke.


According to them, the Post Ramadan programme was organised by Alhaji Kolawole in his efforts at contributing to building a sane society which he considers responsible parenting as one of the pivots upon which achieving a saner society is rested. 

The organizing committee stated that the topic of the programme was carefully chosen with a view to expressing in clear terms the Islamic teachings and doctrines on the best ways to go in bringing up children for the benefit of humanity.

The maiden edition of the programme will feature a lecture on the theme to be delivered by Grand Chief Imam of Offa Land, Shaykh Muhyideen Salman Hussein and an erudite Islamic Scholar,  Ustadh (Dr.) Shuaib Ajiboye Osunleke of Department of Chemical Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

 
A retired Judge of Osun state Judiciary, Justice Moshood Kunle Adeigbe will serve as the Chairman of the occassion while the Asiwaju Adeen of Yoruba Land, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Khamis Olatunde Badmus will be the Father of the Day. 



The Special Adviser to  the  governor of Osun state on Political Matters who doubles  as the Mayegun Musulumi of Iwo Land, Alhaji  Khalid Debo Badru is the special guest of honour.


 Other special guests of honour who will jointly grace the occassion are two former Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan of the Ministry of Police Affairs and his counterpart in the  Ministry of Water Resources, Alhaji Bashir  Awotorebo.
 
One time National Ameerah of FOMWAN, Hajia (Dr.) Mrs. Lateefat Moyosore Durosinmi of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife will lead an  array of Muslim women faithfuls invited to the occasion as the  chairperson of the day.

The Chief Imam of Modakeke Shaykh (Dr.) Uzamot Idris Animasahun  and the Chief Imam of Ile-Ife, Shaykh Abdus-Semiu Abdul-Hammed will be on ground as the spiritual fathers of the day with other Imams and Alfas from Modakeke and its environs.

The Ogunsua of Modakeke, HRM Oba Joseph Olubiyi Toriola, Ajibise Ogo 1 will be the Royal host while the Ataoja of Osogbo, HRM Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, the Owa of Otan-Ayegbaju, HRM Oba Lukman Ojo Fadipe Arenibiowo and HRM Oba Rauf Olaniyan, the Elende of Eko Ende are the Royal Fathers of the day.

The lecture which is billed to hold at 10:00am, tomorrow Sunday, 22nd day of May, 2022 will be carried out strictly in line with Covid-19 protocols.


 The statement further enjoined adherents of Islamic faith from far and near to attend the programme as a matter of religious obligation.

My throne doesn't affected with Kingship case transfer to Osun - Salu of Edunabon

  The Salu of Edunabon, His Royal Majesty Kehinde Oladepo Adesoji, Akinrinsa 11, has reaffirmed that his throne doesn't affected with Kingship case transfer from Court of Appeal, Akure, to Osun. HRH Adesoji stated this in a phone conversation with Pressmen on Thursday. He said that there were three Kingsmaker in Edunabon Olosi, Monigbere and Olukotun, adding that Olosi was appointed in Sept 30,2015, Monigbere died in 2006 and was not replaced before former Salu, Oba Elijah Omoboye joined his ancestors. According to him, HRM Omoloye passed away on Aug 4, 2017 and Emmanuel Olaniyan, Olukotun, also died on Nov 30,2017, three months after the demised of Late Salu,Oba Elijah Omoloye died.    Prof. Adebusuyi Adeniran, a Professor of Migration and Development Sociology, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has called for urgent need to rebrand Nigeria immigration service (NIS)for true structure and responsibilities.
